It's pretty in a sensual/delicate/casual way. I think it's dated but don't really care because I don't think that makes it less wearable in this case. I think as a MN, it lightens up more formal/stodgy/severe FNs...I'd compare it to Marigold, Claire, Crystal, Jewel, Juliet, Zoe, Roxanne, Hope in that way.

I really like the name Jasmine and it's been growing on me a lot lately. I worry that it's a bit dated though as it was so popular in the '90s and 2000s. I also like Yasmin and Jessamine.

This! Obviously the association of Aladdin is still relevant, and rice. But what’s not to like about those? :) I have a cousin named Yasmin nn Yaz. She always disliked being mistaken as Jasmine, but I think they are both pretty.

Too sweetly floral for human use; way too much to live up to. Rather like Venus and Angela!

Boring & tiredI like Jessamine, though.

Jasmine is one of those names that I should really like: it's a similar style to other names I like, it's quite soft and pretty, and yet, I don't love it. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice name but it just doesn't have much appeal to me.

Kinda stuffy. I love Yasmin.
