We are doing a project to produce a piece of art that symbolizes the meaning of our names in a club I am in. One of the girls in the club has the name Oase. She says it is from Norwegian (?) descent. Does anyone have a meaning for this name? If you think of the word "ponderosa"--focusing on the OSA, that is how this name is pronounced.
Please help if you can, so I can pass this info along to her!
