I think it's a pretty nice name and I would pronounce it as 'Ree-ann'

Where I live (South Africa) it would be a short form of Marianne, pronounced RRee-AHN. It's used by Afrikaans speakers. I find it too abrupt, but then I'm very fond of Marianne and would use that rather than most other names.
