[Opinions] Masculine or Feminine?
Replies
- Pax: Not a fan, but prefer on a boy. It sounds more masculine to me. On the other hand, Paz in Spanish is a girl's name, so I can see it on a girl as well.
- Keshet: Girl is my first thought. Don't know any person with this name, though.
- March: It feels very feminine to me, because it sounds a lot like Marge.
- Cleo: On an elderly person, I would think a man. On a baby, girl definitely. My personal preference is a cat.
- River: I see it more often on a girl but prefer it on a boy, paired with something less trendy.
- Sasha: This is nickname only to me. Depends on the nationality. In Russian or German context, boy. In my Czech context, it's truly unisex but not a full name (though I know one girl who has it as her official name which feels quite odd).
- Amari: sounds masculine to me but I wouldn't be too surprised to see it on a girl or woman.

Pax- boy
Keshet- never heard it but it sounds feminine to me
March- love Mars for a boy, this is similar but it somehow sounds much more feminine
Cleo- girl
River- love it for a girl, find it okay on a boy
Sasha- love it on a girl, I also like it as a nn on a European boy but, unfortunately, I don't think it would work on an Aussie/ US/ UK boy
Amari- I immediately think girl but I do know a male Armani so it's not too much of a strech on a boy

What gender do you honestly prefer these names on?
- Pax- girl I guess. Prefer Irene, which means the same thing.
- Keshet - either works.
- March- boy? January is a very pretty girl name tho.
- Cleo- girl
- River- either but I'm tired of it
- Sasha- on a boy it's very European and kinda classy. I also associate it with bratz dolls... whatever is okay tbh.
- Amari- either way I guess. Mari is feminine though so maybe a girl?

- Pax – I associate with that book about a fox with the same name? Idk if the fox is supposed to be a boy or a girl. But overall, I see this as a gender neutral name, leaning masculine.
Keshet – I don't know anyone with this name for context. On one hand, I would assume masculine. On the other hand, I know a Hikmet (similar name ending) who's a woman, so…
March – I see it was gender neutral, but leaning more feminine
Cleo – Definitely feminine
River – Gender neutral. Could go either way with the vibes as being either masculine or feminine.
Sasha – I know different Sasha's and in the Slavic traditiono, nicknames just are gender neutral the majority of the time. It's the name they derive from that's gendered. But overall, I tend to associate Sasha as a diminutive of Alexander, so I see it as more masculine.
Amari – I see it as feminine, but think it's really cool as a masculine name too.

Pax - Masculine: Although I find it awkward for a boy to have the name of a goddess, I much prefer Pax on a boy because it sounds Masculine.
Keshet - Unisex: I used to much prefer it on a girl now I feel like it’s fairly unisex if not better on a boy. Overall the name is really nice.
March - Feminine: I would honestly say neither but for some reason I can only imagine March as a middle name for a girl.
Cleo - Feminine: Much prefer it on a girl. A boy it just sounds meh.
River - Masculine: It reminds me of River Phoenix not to mention a girl named River just sounds cheap to me.
Sasha - Unisex: Sasha on a boy is starting to grow on me but either how I still prefer it on a girl.
Amari - Masculine: Amani or Imani is feminine, Amari on a girl just doesn’t sit right with me.

- Pax: girl, because the concept - although the sound is more boy to me.
- Keshet: girl because it reminds me of Kesha, but I don't really care.
- March: either.
- Cleo: girl. This is a strong preference.
- River: either.
- Sasha: girl, unless he's actually from Russia or Ukraine.
- Amari: either, but slightly more appealing for a boy.
