I quite like it.
I used to really dislike Ivy, because it made me think of IVs and hospitals / ICUs. But I still thought the plant was very attractive (when properly "groomed," so to speak). It's also reminiscent of the Ivy League universities, places of prestige and (ostensibly) sophistication.
Ivy can work very well as both a first or middle name - it goes with a lot.
