Help[Opinions] Polish Names for Girls and Boys!
I'm the same guest that has been posting. Idk if people like more than one post, but here is another one.
I'm very interested in Slavic Culture, and I just can't help but love the names. I love the names Janina, Irena, Natalia, and Agnieszka for a girl, and Antoni for a boy. I would love some more suggestions for both genders please. Poland intrigues me, it always has. Perhaps because both of my Grandmothers were Polish, and they always told me stories of living during the war (WW2). I've visited Poland several times (3 times with both of my grandmothers, and 4 trips by myself), and I'm working on learning the language. It's very hard for a Native English Speaker, but I'm trying (lol)! I can, however, correctly pronounce these names in Polish. I would love some help in name suggestions!

I'm Polish. I'm usually not very excited about Polish names, especially since a lot have practically mandatory nicknames and if I only like either the nn or the full name but not both then the name just doesn't work.

Janina (Janka, Nina is ok)
Agnieszka (Aga)
Jagoda
Józefa (I don't really love it as a lifelong name but I'm so in love with Józia that I have to include it in my faves anyway)
Nadia
Tekla - I don't know of any nicknames but most of this name's charm comes from it being clunky and unfashionable. I heard of one nicknamed Kluska ("dumpling" but this isn't very cute in Polish), which while hilarious is not what I'd want from a main nn.
Ksenia
Katarzyna (Kasia)
Lidia (Lidka, but Lidzia factors in my overall rating of this name even though it's not a universal nn)
Karolina
Wioleta (Wiola)
Honorable mentions:
Anna (Ania) which is a great, classic name. I wanted to give it a shout out for how pretty it is in Polish, compared to how unattractive it is to me in English. The two n's are crucial.
Dżesika - I just love this spelling and I wish people hadn't immediately abandoned it when Jessica became officially allowed. Jessica looks silly on a Polish child living in Poland. Dżesika OTOH is good and righteous.
Niebiana - not a real name but it's pretty and sounds like it could be real, which is why I'm putting off collecting my sources and removing it from the submitted database. Maybe if I wait long enough someone will use it xD

Neither Lydia nor Timotei could be passed off as Polish. They're Lidia and Tymoteusz. Damina is also not a Polish name, it could work but isn't used. Bianca in Polish is spelled Bianka. The Polish spelling of Larissa is Larysa because the double s in Larissa would be uncomfortable to pronounce. And I'm assuming Floriaan is a typo and should've been Florian, because again the double a just doesn't work.
