[Opinions] Amy
Hi people! It's me again. What are your honest opinions on the name Amy? Personally, I find it really cute and sweet. My favorite famous bearers are Amy Lee (Amy Hartzler) from Evanscence and Amy March from Little Women. People have said that it's "Very 1980s", but I don't think so at all. Also, I don't like the Aimee spelling at all, yuck!

I've known Amys from little girls younger than my own teenage daughter to women in their sixties. It definitely does suit all ages.
But I find it blah and limp. Amy and Sarah and Jennifer-called-Jen, all in a pack at Starbucks or Junior League or something.

I've always liked Amy. Lovely meaning. And I do think of Little Women. It really does not feel all that dated to me.
It’s just too common and girlish for me. I imagine more a small child than the sophisticated woman she will become.
Amy lacks personality, in spite of the youngest Ms March; it sounds whiney. And when it went viral, it lost any distinction it might once have had.
I like it a lot. I'd consider using it for a baby, except for the dated part ... and also, I don't think it really ages very well, to be honest.
I think Amy is underappreciated. I'd never use it but it's actually quite a sweet name. I don't mind the different spellings myself.
I think it’s dated but classic. My biggest association is the character from Big Bang Theory.
