A friend from high school and her husband welcomed a daughter last month and named her...

Charlotte Rae

What do you guys think? I love it, although the combo is too "Edna from Facts of Life" (Edna was played by the actress Charlotte Rae) - Charlotte Mae or Charlotte Renee would've been better choices. But yeah, I love Charlotte - it's been a favorite for a while now.

I always loved actress Charlotte Rae's name. It sounded modern, given she was born in the 1920's. The combo does remind me of the actress, but in a very good way. Charlotte Rae does sound filler, but it is very cheerful and pretty.

It's nice. I definitely thought of the actress right away. I do like Charlotte. I guess it's becoming really popular, which I hate to see. But I don't actually know any myself. I'm pretty lukewarm to Rae. But at least it's not overly popular to the point of being generic.

I like it! Very cute and classic. I would never associate it with that show or the actress. I actually prefer Charlotte Rae.

That's good to know about the Charlotte Rae thing. I guess it was just my younger, old-sitcom-watching self talking. lol
