Um, no it doesn't remind me of dusty crocheted toys.
I think it sounds sophisticated, not because it's fancy, but because i names often look elegant to me, and the *grid part implies 'sturdy, organized, well put together' to me.
Plus, the ing part is springy, and d endings seem no-nonsense. I enjoy saying it.
I feel like Astrid is more Now, and Sigrid is more fun, but Ingrid is most stylish.
