They're both really nice.
IMO Mary is a bit sweeter, Lydia is a bit more elegant.
Lydia Mary is a REALLY pretty combo. Mary Charlotte is kinda boring. Mary Lydia is pretty!
Mary is no longer boring. It hasn't even been in the top 100 for a decade, and I honestly think the *majority* of its instances as a full name are as the first half of a double name (very overplayed this way IMO, and not the same thing as just Mary at all). I can never root against a baby being named Mary... nor can I root against one being named Lydia. How about you post her astrology chart after she's born, and I'll pick which one suits her personality?
