[Opinions] Catherine / Katherine
Opinions?I didn't use to care much for this name, then I went through a period of really appreciating it and the nicknames that go along with it. Now I've lost that love and I'm back to being indifferent to Catherine / Katherine. Just wondering what everyone else's thoughts are =)

I think it's nice but also boring.Catherine and Katherine are both fine but Catherine is nicer and more elegant.I only really dislike Kathryn and Cathryn.I still prefer Caitlin even though it's super 90s.

I only like it as a middle name, and I prefer Catherine the best.

KathrynI like the name best in full. If I had to choose a nickname, I'd probably go with Kitty. Most of the others have been used so much more. I once favored Catherine. But my current favorite spelling is Kathryn.

Very classy and elegant but I would never use it.

I don't like Catherine, but I love Katherine and the NN Kitty. The K makes the name feel more alive.

I like it, and prefer Catherine, it’s rounder and softer.

My mom's name is Catherine, with a C. I prefer it to Katherine, with a K. It just looks more elegant with a C.

My favourite form of this name is Katharine, but after that I like Catherine, it seems softer, kinder. Katherine is so beige and cold to me, like a stucco wall. But in general, I never think about this name.

My preferred version is Katharine, closely followed by Catherine. I would use either as a mn, precisely because of the nn issue. First there were edge-to-edge Cathy people, then came the Kate outbreak, then various forms of Caitlyn ... what next? I love Kitty, but not if there would be 11 000 000 other ones, jostling for position. And I don't enjoy Rina at all; it might never happen, but then again, it might.

I agree with you in some points: Katharine is such a beautiful name, while Rina is horrible and elderly. But I don't appreciate a lot Kitty, because it's too childish and I would never use it as a forename.
Other forms I like are Katherine, Cathy, the Italian variant Caterina and the Spanish variant Catalina.
