Sounds cold, and vaguely aggressive. WINTER IS COMING
Also I get a brittle feeling from the sound of it, like the word splinter. In real life I think it would come off more like a surname name, like Hunter or Piper, than like a nature name, the way Summer does.
Usable, but I don't like it.
A shade better if spelled Wynter because if it's surnamey, it's more namey in general and doesn't evoke harsh weather.

I love it as a GP for a girl. I think it's spunky and I like the nn Winnie. I'd love to meet a little Winter!

I like it! I really have a thing for unisex nature-themed names. I like it a little better on a girl but I think it works well on a boy too. It's not too outlandish but still unique.

You may or may not be surprised to learn I love the name Winter! It is actually the name of one of my cats. But I'd totally use it on a human. I think it evokes a sort of romantic imagery of snow covered branches and ladies in long hooded capes.

The strident "ter" following the supple "win" is very jarring to me. I hate it.

Winter is the best of the season names imo. Summer and Autumn are a little tired and Spring just makes me think of a mattress spring flinging into the air, lol! Although I also know it can also refer to small bodies of water.. Spring is a very versatile word!

I like it too. It's so sharp and pointy, seems clever and resolute, and "Win" as a nickname is chic (for some reason "Winnie" seems too sunny for Winter, but I suppose it's probably inevitable). I love all the different imagery this name conjures up. It gives me Gothic, sort of Hitchcock vibes.

Don't like it at all. As far as seasonal names, Summer is much better. Autumn is meh but way too cutesy.

I don't like Seasons as names. Besides, what if Winter hates Winter?
