These types of boys names are some of my favorites, like:

Sheridan "Sherry"
Gwendal "Gwen"
Conrad "Connie"
Julian "Jules"
Marius "Mari"

Ferdinand, Fernand, Fernando → Fern
Junius → Juni, June
Salvador → Sal
Ingemar → Inge
Dionysus → Dion
Isidore, Dorian → Dory
Cassius, Cassian, Cassio, Cassander → Cass, Cassie

I don't think of all of those as fem, but I think to some people they can sound that way.

And I don't like Josiah much, but I could see a Josiah being called Josie. And I guess a Sullivan could be "Liv".

Cas/Cass is a favorite nickname of mine :)

I don't see Sal as feminine though

Jules still sounds masculine, I think Julie or Juley would make more sense here.

Wow, how did I forget Fran and Clare and Laurie? I like those.

They could also be short for Clarenbald / Clarus or Laurentin / Laurentius or Francesco / Francisco.

I have such as soft spot for feminine nicknames on boys, my Mothers always like "he'll be made fun of" but I doubt many 3 year olds would have any reference point for the name Connie let alone to deem it too feminine. I love Conrad "Connie" and Julian "Jules". I also love Marius, but my name is Mary, so not with that nickname.
