[Opinions] 19 (ridiculous) Italian names
Hi !!!I found this website https://www.babygaga.com/20-italian-words-that-make-perfect-first-names-for-babies/
The site claims that these 19 names are good for babies.I said "ridiculous" because none of them but Perla and Lino is actually a given name. I guess that the site checked strange Italian words matching them to well-known nicknames. Anyway this is the list. Let me know if any of them makes sense or has a good meaning in your opinion. Maybe somebody can be virtually used. *I don't know how they decided the genders and the many of them have not one. Apericena 'Peri' (f)
This is a new-coined word meaning "drinks before dinner accompanied by free food!"Rocambolesco 'Roca' (m)
This name means "exciting, full of adventure"Passeggiata 'Gia' (f)
This name means "stroll, walk". Abbiocco 'Abbi' (f)
It means "food coma".Magari (f)

It actually means "thanks". The Italian form of Grace is Grazia (with the final a).Gattara (f)
It means "an (often elderly) woman on the streets feeding stray cats".Perla (f)

I really like Sorellina! Maybe a bit infantilising on a person though.Auguri - I can picture this on a person but don't really like it as a name.Allora - a pretty sounding word but weird to use for a name.Gattara - cool as like a character name.

Lino is cute but the others are not my style.

I personally would use...Hi !!!Aside Perla and Lino that are established names I would use:Auguri because has a nice sound despite Italian names ending with -i are really rare. I don't know why but Auguri has a familiar, glee vibe that is more important than the fact that actually is not a given name. It is pronounced ow-GOO-ree and it's a genderless word. Tesoro I like it because it could be unisex and also because it means literally "treasure". It reminds me both a sweet nickname and something adventurous like the sea, voyages, someone who is daring.

Tesoro would be a cute cat name. I’ve considered it before because of how often it comes up in opera...Love your description of auguri

I'll admit that my inner Romantic loves Magari and the idea of a name that means "I wish". Gad that's so sentimental. I like it in the way I love Perdita or Ophelia. Allora is really pretty, random word aside. Gattara is HOT and I love the idea of basically being named "Crazy Cat Lady". It reminds me of Urraca, which is an ancient Spanish name meaning "magpie" that is now synonymous with "old biddy". I love an old biddy name so Gattara is pretty awesome to me.

This is funny.Rocambolesco, Meriggiare, Tesoro, and Auguri seem intriguing.I like Peri, Perla, and Allora although I'd consider Allora a variant of Elora, Eliora.

Some of these names brought a smile to my face.Giorno reminds of the main character from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, an anime. Hands down.Who wants to be called Abbiocco? I'd absolutely hate it if I were in a food coma! I love food.On the other hand, Apericena must be great! You get drinks and free food! Here are some of the names I enjoy from your list:Lino - my grandfather's name :)
Perla - Nice!
Rocambolesco - Definitely sounds exciting!
Cucciolo - Aww, I'd love to be one!
