[Opinions] Kayley
Alright. So, on this site, people don't really like this name or it's variants. I didn't either. I only like this spelling of Kayley. I will never warm up to Kayleigh, ever, though. What are your thoughts? I agree that it's really youthful, but I don't think it's a bad name. Kayley wouldn't be my absolute first pick, but I rather like it. It sounds fresh and clean, but not too recently modern either. The oldest woman I know with this name is 34, and it's spelled Kayley like this. I think it's cute and pretty. How about you?"You're a firework. Show your obstacles your brightest colors."-MeRate my name lists too!

I like it, though I agree it’s very youthful and while I’m not one to say this about a lot of names, it’s hard for me to see it on an adult. The oldest one I know is 24, and she spells it Kali. I think both Kali and Kaylee are also nice spellings, in addition to Kayley.

I would always be inclined to say KAH-lee for Kali. I think of the Indian goddess.

Not cute, not prettyIt's insubstantial and will inevitably be dated, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think Ermengarde is one of the most beautiful names, though, so take my feedback with a grain of salt.

It's okay but it already feels dated. I think I would like Kay by itself if people didn't say "'kay" instead of "okay" all of the time. There are way too many spellings. Kayleigh feels like the original to me because it first became popular because of the song and the song character spells her name Kayleigh so as Kayleigh it has at least some substance and history. Also it's Kay + Leigh and Leigh is a common spelling alternative of Lee that is often seen as more feminine. So I would use Kayleigh even though it isn't necessarily my favorite in looks I prefer it over the other because of the substance it has. Also, Kayleigh is by far the most common spelling in the UK and I like how there is sort of a standard spelling in the UK (same with Caitlin) whereas in the US so many variants are popular that you never know how you are supposed to spell it.So Kayleigh it is and I think it is okay. Really 80s, 90s and really dated but okay.Other spellings that I personally think are okay:Caley - it looks like you used a family surname
Kayley - looks a lot like Hayley so it's okay
Kaley - looks like a surname and like Haley so it's also okay
Ceilidh - because of the danceI know that Kaylee is the most popular spelling in the US and I shouldn't dislike it but it looks unfinished. In general names where you replace -ey or -eigh by -ee do that to me (unless traditionally that way e.g. the French Dorothée or Andrée). Haylee, Kaylee, Everlee, Emilee - they just look unfinished, as if they should go on and on and on, they are not closed or finished off kind of like Hayleeeeeeee, Kayleeeeee if you get what I mean, not sure if I explained it well.

It’s ok. It’s better than Kayleigh, Kaylie, or Kaleigh though.

This is one name where I think the spelling truly has no bearing on whether I like it or not. It's such a recent invention and there is no "authentic" or "legitimate" spelling, just the most common one. It just sounds babyish and cutesy. It will always sound like a little kid, probably the kind who sits down in a parking lot and screams and bangs her head and her mother stands there whining "Kay-lee, pleeeeeze get up!" like the kid is going to do it just because she said please.

I don't care for it regardless of spelling. They are all the same name in my mind. I'm not the biggest fans of feminine -ley names to begin with. They all sound the same to me for the most part. And I've never been able to separate the name from the tragic murder of little Caylee Anthony. That's the first time I'd heard the name and honestly thought her family made it up. So it will always be linked to her in my mind. Nowadays we have Kayleigh McEnany, which is unpleasant in an entirely different way.,
