I love it! I think it's very usable but also sounds elegant and mature. I think of it as an 'honorable' name for some reason (it gives me the same impression as Honor without being an obvious heavy-handed word name). My favorite pronunciation is ELL-en-a. I also like e-LEH-na, but e-LAY-na just makes me think of Alaina or Elaina.

Good name! It is rising in popularity, but that just means lots of people like it.

Elena is gorgeous. I've loved it since the first time I saw The Mask of Zorro as a kid, and I pronounce it the same way they do in that movie (eh-LAY-nah). It's not overly complicated, but neither is it boring.

I go back and forth over whether I prefer Elena or Eleanor.

I think it's cute and versatile, it's also easy to pair names with. Helena is nice too.
