As others have said, I do associate this with the hurricane that wrecked New Orleans. That said, I am in the United States and have a lot of family in New Orleans, so the association might be a little stronger because of that, as well.

I knew a Katrina once and thought she was whip smart, athletic, funny, and kind, everything one would hope for in a daughter/friend. So, there's a good association.
