[Opinions] WDYTO Mallory?
Mallory has been stuck in my head lately. I always liked it. For some reason it always made me think of a cheery little girl playing on a playground. I would not use it because it seems dated and I hate the meaning. Would it be good on a pet?

I like this name. Despite how popular it was for my generation, I've never met one. The meaning is intense and actually makes it more interesting to me. I think it could be cute on a pet, sure. Like naming a cat Jessica.

I think I would like it, if it didn't mean what it does. The sound is kinda neat. It's like Madison only the trend not as recent and severe.
But the meaning hangs me up and makes the MAL part jump out at me and not sound so nice. I would kinda like the name on a woman I met, but I would hate being named it myself.I feel like it'd be kinda dumb on a pet, unless it was ironic, because it has such a preppy vibe. Like naming a pet Madison or Harper. Molly seems more suitable.

I don’t care for it on a pet nor human but the name is a 4/10 at most. It can work on a pet though I guess. For a human it’s best as a middle name or the name is pretty unfortunate.

I don't like it; it feels like a name that peaked before its style was fashionable, and also it was very much pop-culture influenced. Mallory Keaton was one of the kids on "Family Ties" a very popular, rather bland eighties sitcom.
It just makes me think of an eighties preppie in her Oxford shirt and suspender-skirt and loafers, hanging around with clones named Hillary and Fallon and Meredith.
I wouldn't use it on a pet because 1. I don't like it anyway and 2. It just seems too people-ish for a pet, and not in a humorous or cute way.

I think both Melanie and Valerie are prettier.Mallory would work on a pet! Especially he nickname Mal.

I hate this name in general, sorry. Mallory doesn't sound like a pet name, either imo.
