[Opinions] Twin Character name
Two female characters, both about ten years old, set in the early 1900's probably. First twin is more adventurous, dark themed names preferred because she grows up to be evil. Second twin is sweet and basically perfect. Here are my ideas: Twin 1:
Dorothea- Gift of God
Cecilia or Cecily- Blind
Lilith- Ghost, night monster
Delaney- Dark Challenger
Melanie- Black, Dark
Melania- Black
Scarlett- Red Twin 2
Adelina or Adeline- Noble
Lenora- Light (Maybe a kind of light and dark thing?)
Ivy- plant name
Lavina- from a place called Lavinium
Lavinia- Woman of RomeSuggestions also greatly appreciated!

Cecilia and Lenora is my preference, though Lenora doesn't mean "light," fyi.

Cecily and Adeline.Be cautious about, eg, Lilith and Delaney. Instinct tells me they are unlikely in the early 1900s.

If you're open to more unusual names, I want to suggest one of my favourite "dark" names for the first twin - Melinoë, which means "dark-minded". Ugh, it's so dramatic. Anyway, I like the idea of Ivy for the "good twin"...Ivy strikes me as a duplicitous name, someone who is not what they seem, and I'm already suspicious of this "Sweet and basically perfect" character! That being said, I also like the pairing of Lilith & Lenora. That alliteration is satisfying. There could also be a "sorrow and joy" theme with something like Dolores & Felicity.

From your list I like Cecilia (twin 1) and Adeline (twin 2) together. Or Cecilia & Lenora.Lilith & Scarlett are too obvious. Delaney didn't even chart in the early 1900s - anachronistic. Melanie also to a similar extent, although slightly more likely to be used, it's still jarring.Suggestions Twin 1
Jocelyn (kinda pushing it time-wise too...)
Matilda
Vivienne (are V names too obvious for a villain? I kinda feel like they could be...or is it just me?)Suggestions Twin 2
Florence
Esme
Luciana / Lucinda "Lucy" (also a little obvious/cliche though)Jocelyn & Esme
Matilda & Florence
Vivienne & Lucinda/Lucy
