[Opinions] Names with the nickname Dolly/Dolley
I love the name Dolly, but obviously it's too childish for me. I tried to find a formal names that can be short for Dolly, but all I could find is Dolores, which is a name that is too old and ugly for me, no offense. I did find out that Dahlia, a name I do actually love can be shortened to Dolly. There is also Dorothy/Dorothea, which I am not too crazy about can be shortened to Dolly. Any more names that can be short for Dolly.

On behindthename you can search for names with the letters d and l in them, many of which could work. Just put “*d*l*” in the search bar. The asterisks can stand in for any number of letters. My favourites areAdalet
Adela
Adelaide
Dahlia
Dalida
Danielle
Danila
Delphina
Delyth
Dulcinea
Fidelma
Idalia
Odilia

Dorothea could be turned around to Theodora. Dorrit (Door - it) or Dorit (Door - eat) are other forms of Dorothy
Madola is a name in my family tree. I have found others with this name but I haven't been able to find a meaning or origin.
Odile doesn't sound very close to Dolly but has the same letters
I agree that Dahlia is a great name!
