[Opinions] Gemma
Do you like Gemma? Dying in the UK but getting popular in the US. I think it will die in the US in about 5 years. It sounds soooo British to me.

I do like it, but it does feel kind of tired and dated. I hate the spelling of Jemma. Gemma is nice, it makes me think of gemstones.Yes, I agree, it will die quickly. It just got more popular in the US as a less common alternative to Emma but soon people will be sick of Emma and Gemma.I think in the UK Emma and Gemma were popular at around the same time (70s, 80s and a bit of the 90s).

Love it. It's not popular at all yet in the region of the US where I am. Unlike Emma. I get a combination British/Italian vibe. Jemma is fine as well.

It's a nice, traditional name and I like it more than Emma. This name is also used in Spain, especially in Catalonia. However, I like Gema more, because I'm used to its pronunciation.

It sounds Italian to me. I'm not that much into this name, it lacks something.
And I don't understand why everybody dislikes Jemma...

Very dated to the 80s in the UK. I don’t like it much, but it’s better than a lot of other names from that era.

I’ve always liked this name. Not ridiculously popular here in Australia, but not unpopular either.
