I've never come across this name in the wild, so I have no idea how to say it. I think it's pretty to look at, but I wouldn't know what to do with it. I'd stumble for sure.

We had a thread on Idony a few weeks ago, if you are looking for more answers.

EYE-do-nee. But I know that it is incorrect. Apparently it's id-O-nee or something. Or ID-o-nee. And it was common in the Middle Ages.

I personally only like it as EYE-do-nee. I think you can use any pronunciation you want because it is so uncommon that you cna choose.

I pronounce it "Ih-doh-nEE" The "I" like "if" and the end rhymes with Margery.

I also like the spelling Idonea. I love both variants.

I would pronounce it as IE-də-nee. I think it looks good.
