OK, it's not a version of Isabel! But there are so many Belle and Bell and Bel names that this is one too many. And even if there wasn't the fashionable-sound problem, etymologically it links to belligerence rather than beauty. It's a no-no.

Ah, I love Bellona! It's been on my PNL for years :) I think it has a nice balance between strong and pretty.

I once read a book years ago where someone was named this. I liked it ok then, but I love it now.

I think it's beautiful. It has a rich, heavy sound and I like the goddess association. It's also a surname in my family.
