Russia is called Rusland (with a silent d) and I’m afraid all I see is “Russia + female suffix”.

That said, in the right context, I think I could learn to enjoy it since I really like Lana.

I like this name a lot! Rue and Lana are great nicknames.

"~♫~daaai na dana deiii... I'm wild dAanciiing~♫~" is what I think immediately. Otherwise, I think the name is okay, although pretty close to Roxana, which I much prefer.

I love it! I've met two Ruslans (masculine form) but never a Ruslana. The only drawback - nicknames: I dislike both Rusya and Lana.

When I saw it, for the first time, it looked too similar to the Afrikaans word for Russia, which is Rusland. Clearly the etymology is very different, but I still find it hard to like for a human.

It shimmers! I love it.

It's got a pretty sound but very foreign to English-espeakers.
Also, there is this very light, filmy wrap/jacket thing with long tails and short sleeves that I'm seeing in the stores now, and my SIL has two of them. It's called a rumana or something very similar to it and so Ruslana kinda reminds me of those.
