[Opinions] Nicknames for Katherine/Kathryn
I used to like the nn "Kate", but honestly it's been ruined for me.What's your favorite nickname?

I like Käthe. It's like "kay-tuh". Also Kath (just Kathy without the y) always seemed chic and no-nonsense to me.

Kitty. I've seen far too much of all the others.

I prefer Kat and Katie but Kate is nice too.

I love Kit. I knew a Katherine who went by Erin (maybe Erine?)

I like just Katherine. Kate would be the least bothersome nickname for me, but I guess if I had to pick a different one, maybe Kat? Though I don’t like it, really. Maybe Wren, but that’d be a stretch.

As a Catherine I don't like nicknames and hate it when people call me something else. I go by a written nickname with family as my full name is too long. Some names people have called me are Cath, Cathy, Cat and Kitty. The main one being Cath. Out of all the nicknames for Catherine I prefer Cate/Kate, but I'm a firm believer in that if you want to name your child for example Kitty then just name them that. Name her Katherine and wait until she's older and let her choose her own nickname if she wants one.

Kathy - soft, traditional and not as used as Kate.Kit - it has a better sound than Kate and Katie. It's also retro and not too feminine.Kitty - it's dated yet cute, I love it, it's my favourite nickname for Katherine.Rina - my second favourite. It's rare, modern, sweet-sounding and short.
