While I acknowledge Rowan's unisex qualities (indeed, those of most Anglophone nature names), my impression of the name still leans masculine. I think this is due to similar names Owen and Ronan.
I like it, though. It has appeared in my Top 10 before, as a first or a middle. (Presently it's a middle.)
