Jamesina was one of my favourite names for a good while :) I likes how clunkily feminine it was, but I hate the nn Jamie with such a passion that I never considered it really useable. I like James a lot too (it's so smooth), and Jim/Jimmy, but again - hate that Jamie.

I think James is a great, classic, boys-only name. I don't like Jamesina for a girl. For a feminine variant I'd prefer Jamie/Jamey/Jami.

Love it for a boy, don’t like it for a girl. Jamesina is ok.

I had soo many unpleasant and creepy experiences with guys named James. So it's completely off the list for me, same with Jamie / Jaime and Jameson, all very unpleasant people. I never liked James on a girl, it's masculine. Jamesina doesn't sound like a name to me. Fun fact: singer Etta James' full name is Jamesetta.

James is a lovely name. For a boy. I hate the trend with “boy names on girls” and it seriously needs to stop. Jamesina is interesting. I’m not sure how the -ina part is to be pronounced but I think it’s quite appealing in a quirky way.

Timelessly wonderful on a boy; ludicrous on a girl. Jamesina is very Traditional Scottish: don't think it happens in our time. And I'm guessing it sounded like James + Aina, not James + Eena, which is a turn-off.

I really like James for a boy. I don’t mind it as a middle name for a girl, but not as a first name.
