Sakura is somewhat pretty. I can see the appeal. As Felie said I like the etymology.
It can work on a non-Japanese girl. I never cared for “limiting” names on races of people. Doesn’t make sense.
No I wouldn’t, but now that you mention it I probably would.
Lily is Sakura is nice. I like the floral theme. Surprised people dislike it.

I actually really like Sakura!
I think that Lily and Sakura is a sibset that works very well because it is a kind of flower-themed.
I like it very much.
Sakura has a meaning and a background behind it. It is not only a cherry blossom but it's also the Japanese philosophy of beauty and nature and simple things.
I think that it's ok also for a Western person call a child with a Japanese name... Why not?
I give you an example. I'm totally friendly with anyone choice about names so what I say it is just for explain.
Here in Italy many Italian people use English names for their children. If a person can use i.e. Brian without any ties with it... Why a person that want to use Sakura knowing it's history, meaning and values can't use use it?

Don't like it. I don't think it would work on a non Japanese girl, and doesn't go well with Lily at all

Ah, the Sakura question again. I think Sakura is fine..it works on some people (like Miyawaki Sakura) and is bland on others.
Yes I would either assume they're anime fans (if they don't look Japanese), or they lived abroad for a time.
I see it only working for those who lived abroad or have some tangible connection to the culture.

I don’t mind Sakura but I wouldn’t use it.
There is a Japanese restaurant called Sakura near my home town, so that is what i think of first

Not a fan of Lily and Sakura for sisters. Lily is more “basic” and traditional, common in America, and Sakura is more the opposite.
