[Opinions] How do you say Dahlia?
I was chatting to someone today and she mentioned her prize-winning dahlias, and to my surprise she pronounced it "DAY-lee-ah". I never knew this alternate pronunciation existed! How do YOU pronounce Dahlia? And which do you prefer, DAH-lee-ah or DAY-lee-ah?

Where I live, in English they are daylias and in Afrikaans they are dahlias. So, I think of them as DAY- because I mostly speak English. I've never heard DAHleeah used in English at all. Is this a Canadian or a UK question?

I normally pronounced Dahlia, DOLL- LEE- UH/ DAH-lee uh. My mom says DAY-lee-uh. I starting saying that too.

DAHL-yə. I definitely prefer the "dah" sound to the "day" sound
