A friend of mine has to register her sons birth this afternoon and she and her partner still can’t decide. He is Scottish and she is Brazilian and the last name starts with an N.

They have named the baby Ernest as it has an easy translation into Portuguese as well.

Stanley is irredeemable to me. It sounds like a creepy stalker, which is further cemented by the whole "stanning" thing.

Ernest Ernest Ernest!! I love the seriousness of this name. It's also more classic, and international, than Stanley. I hope they go for Ernest :)
