[Opinions] Sister for Clara?
We're due with our second daughter in a few months and having some trouble finding a name we love. Our oldest's name is Clara and we prefer simple, more classic sounding names since our last name is long and uncommon. Popularity isn't a huge issue for us but we'd prefer something outside of the top 20 in Canada.
Names we like so far: Alice, Alina, Nora (might be a bit too popular when all the Eleanors who use it as a nickname are factored in), Tessa
Baby's middle name will be Marie - this is set in stone as it was my grandma's name and she recently passed away.
What are your opinions on our favorites so far? Any suggestions for names that would fit our style and go well with Clara?

I really like Clara and Alice together.
I'd avoid Nora if you don't want something too too popular.

Our cousin Clara's sisters are Nora and Julia.
Clara is lovely, such a great name, one of my faves.
Honestly Marie as a first name would be wonderful - Clara and Marie? SO sweet and retro.
But, if Marie must go in the middle, I think you have some good options so far. I will say that to me Tessa is not "classic" at all and seems more like a throwback to the 90s a la Ashley and Tiffany. Tess would be the "classic" version, and Tess & Clara would be a great duo.
Alina doesn't seem that classic - Lena would be, though (it was popular in the 1880s). Of your choices, Alice seems like the natural sister for a Clara, I like that one a lot. It's a shame you don't like longer names because I think something like Thomasina would be adorable too.
Other ideas (which have maybe been suggested already):
Maude
Greta
Tilly
Eliza
Ivy
Rose
Lucy
Frances
Dora, if Nora is too popular for you
Daisy
May or Mae
Alma
Flora, another Nora-like name
Violet
Lila or Lilah
Nell! Clara & Nell? Adorable.

I like Alice! It fits very well with Clara, I think. Alina and Nora are pretty too, but Alice is so sweet to me.

From your list I think Tessa fits really well. Clara and Tessa as a set is super cute (love Clara btw!). Tessa Marie is a sweet combo. Nora is a bit too similar to Clara, it clashes a bit. Alina is a different style but still pretty. I think after Tessa, Alice would be my second choice. I don't think you need any more suggestions, but some others that popped into my head are: Audrey, Ivy, Stella, Lucy, Edith, Isabel.
