I like it. It's common in the 90s-2000s gen, though. Most people have it only as a nickname for Alexander, but I think it's fine. Another spelling is Zander. On that note, how about Zane? Zane is a nickname for Alexander and a standalone. You might get comments because it's the name of the white ninja from Ninjago (a kid's show). I think Zane is a very cool name.
