Which name do you prefer, Alyssa or Melissa? I think I might prefer Alyssa "Aly" but I also adore the nickname Mel (Melissa)."You're a firework. Show your obstacles your brightest colors."-MeRate my name lists too!

I like them both, but I'd use Alyssa. I wouldn't have minded being called Melissa myself, as long as nobody tried to call me Missy (bimbo) or Mel (butch.)

Alyssa purely because I avoid Mel names, there was this girl when I was in school called Melody, everybody called her Smelody.

Alyssa is like a fancied-up version of Alice, which I love and would use tomorrow. And if not Alice, then Alison. So Alyssa isn't and will never be in with a chance.Melissa, then. Seems suited to a pretty cat with extremely long fur. I prefer Deborah!
