I’m reading a book with a minor character named Annushka. What do you think of it? And while you’re here, what do you think of Anya and Anouk? Which of the three would you rather use?

Annushka / Anushka / Anoushka / Annoushka (did I get all the variants?) is a fun name, but it doesn't sound real. It very much sounds like the Russian affectionate diminutive that it is.
Anya is becoming one of those nicknames that is accepted as a full name (like Sadie, Sally, Jamie, etc.), but it still is too nickname-y for me. On the other hand, Anouk sounds like an independent name to me, and I've liked it ever since I first heard it in the movie Chocolat.

I totally get what you mean about Annushka! Anouk reminds me of Chocolat too :)
