Sabrina is beautiful in a self-assured way. There is something about the B in the middle that gives it a sense of firmness of purpose. Some S names put me off because they feel too flimsy/ slippery, but the B provides the anchor while being softened by the rest of the name. The R keeps it from being frumpy like Sabina.

The name gained prominence from "Sabrina" (1954 film) that had Audrey Hepburn as the titular character. Before that, it was a bit of an old lady name. Sabrina grew in popularity and peaked around the time that "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" was released, and it was downhill from there. A lot of people, myself included, enjoyed the Sabrina tv show but wouldn't want to name their kid after a popular tv character. I was starting to think that Sabrina would start to be used more and then they released the "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina," and so the name will continue to be associated with teen witches. If two more famous Sabrina associations were established with vastly different connotations, I think it would make the name far more popular because then people wouldn't automatically assume you were a fan of just one.

I love the name Sabrina! My first exposure was the teenage witch, and then Sabrina Carpenter - both great namesakes!

I like it and find it quite pretty but I could never use it unfortunately. Or well, I could, but the questions and comments I'd get would be beyond annoying.

Sabrina is one of my longest-running favorite feminine names, and - barring meeting someone truly abhorrent called this - I would name my (hypothetical) daughter Sabrina in a heartbeat.

My first association with Sabrina is not the teenage witch (though I did watch that show - and I tried to get into Chilling Adventures of Sabrina but ultimately didn't like it), but the character in the play Sabrina Fair and subsequent film adaptations. Thus is has very literary associations for me, in addition to the "magic."
