[Opinions] Eleanor, Isabella, Marguerite (m)
Which would you choose for a daughter and why?
What would you use as a middle name?
If you had to use a nickname, what would it be?
**After supposedly dying on January 30, 2007 after eating tainted pancakes, she returned several times as an angel and was revealed to be alive on May 17, 2011. )**

Marguerite, hands down. Isabella is so overwhelmingly popular its obscene and Eleanor I just find boring, there are so many more fun El-names to be had and it just has a dry cracker feel to it. Marguerite is fun, vivacious and classy. Being a more traditionalist nicknamer myseld I'd go with Maggie or possibly Margot.
Marguerite would need a strong name with a kick to it I think. Marguerite Elaine, Marguerite Tamara, Marguerite Meredith (if one was fine with the alliteration), Marguerite Persephone, Marguerite Angelica etc.

Marguerite.
Eleanor and Isabella are pretty over-used in my demographic, and I've always loved Marguerite.
Marguerite Nell or Marguerite Blythe, maybe. Something short as a middle.
Probably would nickname Meg or Margot.

Eleanor is my choice for a name for a hypothetical daughter, out of these three, though I think I'd more likely use Eleanor as a middle name in real life. I like Elle as a nickname (and in fact went through a phase where I just liked Elle as a first name).
Marguerite is also a fun middle name - though I'd more likely use Margot as either a first or middle, to be honest (less fussy).
Isabella is the only one I don't like - too fussy / frilly / princess-y, despite its ubiquity. I much prefer Isabel, or even Izabel.

Eleanor
Eleanor is beautiful, strong, and I like that it is feminine without ending with an A. I like that it has multiple literary and historical associations, so it isn't tied to just one person.
Isabella is beautiful as well, but I prefer Isabel. Isabel is a little more straightforward and less frilly. Isabella feels very early 2000s right now.
Marguerite is unlikely to suit my hypothetical daughter since I do not feel a particularly strong connection to France. It is a fine name but isn't something that I gravitate toward.

Eleanor
It's mature and sensible, and has many nickname opportunities.

Eleanor hands down. I find Isabella a little too frilly and while Marguerite is better than Margaret that bunch of names isn’t my cup of tea.
From those three, definitely Eleanor. I like it enough to use, and if I didn't like Helen even more, it would have been in with a real chance.
I also like Isobel (and Isabel, but a bit less) and Margaret. Not Isabella, and not Marguerite.
ETA sorry, brain went for a walk. Middle name for Eleanor ...
Eleanor Vickie Esme would give her 2 1/2 honouring names plus initials that spell Eve, the nn of my aunt Eva.
Eleanor Heather Jean ... I wanted an H name, also for honouring purposes, and Heather and Helen are the only ones I enjoy. Jean honours.
Eleanor Nancy Clare! Sheer frivolity.
Eleanor Alice Miranda? Not sure of those repeated a sounds; Eleanor Alice Belinda is better!

Eleanor, definitely.
Today she’d be Eleanor Darcy, I think. I’d call her Elle.

Isabella, a pretty, feminine and classic name
