[Opinions] Re: Rowan for a girl
in reply to a message by Martha
On a boy it's really handsome.
On a girl it feels even more like a nature names (for some odd reason), but it's still cute. I imagine a redhead and it is sort of hard for me to imagine on a child which doesn't have red hair. The only female Rowan I know has red hair.
I can imagine Rowan on any kind of boy, even though I do get the image of a dark haired, handsome man with green eyes. On girls it's a redhead name to me and I imagine a cute girl with red hair.
On a boy it feels more like a neutral, handsome name whereas on a girl I get a strong image of the tree.
It's the same with Robin. Handsome on a boy but I don't really think of the bird. On a girl I get a strong bird image, which is nice.
Yeah, that probably didn't make a whole lot of sense.
Bottom line: I like it on both but slightly prefer it on a boy and on girls I get a stronger nature image.
