[Opinions] Zara vs Zari
I really find the name Zara to be beautiful, unique, and elegant. I especially like it with a middle name like Colette or Jade. Then here comes my husband *eye roll*. He thinks Zari is “cooler sounding” but to me it sounds like a nickname or pet name.. something unfinished. WDYT?

A life lesson should be 'don't name your kids things you think sound 'cooler' now because there's a good chance they will be at absolute best dated in 20 years time'.Zara is nice. It's an established, versatile name. I've known a few devastatingly elegant/cool Zara/Zahra/Zahrahs. Zari is silly. It's a nickname at best and will not age well.

I'd tell him he could call Zara that affectionately, but as a full name it sounds too much like "sorry"

Definitely Zara. That way, he can call her Zari as a nn, while still giving her the dignity of a name that actually exists in its own right.

I am particularly into Zara myself, you might also like Zana / Xana, Zovie, Zoanna, or Zelina as well. I am not into Zari, definitely nickname material but not legally.
