It's interesting and seems like it could fit in with modern trends. I go back and forth on whether I like it for a person...there's something so glib about it. But it's perfect for a cat, being cursed for curiosity.

I love it! It's sinisterly gorgeous and silvery.
I love Pandora, don’t like Dora.
I love Pandora! I'm a sucker for Greek Mythology in general, but it's a really lovely name. I just don't like any of the nicknames (not a Dora / Dory fan, and... well, "Pan" is...).
I adore Pandora, it's my favourite name and has been for years. There's a perfect balance of strong, fun, energetic, beautiful, and both an ancient and modern feel. I love the meaning, the connection to Greek mythology (which I love in general), and the nns. Dora's not my favourite, but it is okay. I love Ora (Aura), Pan, and Annie/Anna.
I'm no fan of Dora, or indeed of Doris. I once read a kiddies' book where the author was trying to be funny all the time; one of the characters (it was fake-medieval) was Lady Ida Dora Mann. If ever a joke fell flat ... !
That said, my mother knew a Deborah whose nn was Dora. I thought it made a pleasant change.

I like Dora as a NN for Deborah.
We talked about it recently: https://www.behindthename.com/bb/all/5302961
I'm surprised I missed that thread! Pandora and Persephone are both loves of mine - though I think Persephone would be the easier of the two names to actually bear in real life, if I'm being honest.
Don't like it or Dora
