[Facts] The meaning of my name
Where do I begin...
This morning I thought...my mother never told me what my middle name meant or how it was pronounced...People over the years ask me and I didnt know what to say or people would make fun and think I was actually named after a chimney...lol..
But In my heart I knew my mother was way more intelligent and deeper than that. So I googled it and it turns out...it means..Heroine,deep beauty, listening intently....and was a character in a 1962 movie El Cid...
All these things blew my mind and made me cry cause in that moment I felt close to my Mom again..

That's a sweet story! But at the same time, where did you get your information from? A lot of baby name sites create meanings for rare or newly invented names to make the bearers of those names feel unique. It helps them gain supporters. I'm sorry to say that, but its true.
According to this website, Chiméne comes from Ximena, which ultimately came from Ximeno. And Ximeno came from a word meaning "son". Don't feel embarrassed or anything! The feminine name Andrea comes fromm Andrew, which came from a word that means "man". It happens all the time. :) I still think Chiméne is a pretty name. And its masculine counterpart CHIMEN is handsome. Maybe you could give your son that name, almost naming him after yourself?-ShioTanbo1
