[Opinions] Hippolyta
I'm rereading Sandman and I kind of like Hippolyta, with the nickname Lyta. What do you think? It's pronounced hi-PAHL-i-tuh.

I love Hippolyta, although it's a bit unwieldy for my preferences as a 1st name (my own name is 4 syllables, and I wish it was shorter). Lyta works as a NN, also I think Polly / Pauli would and maybe Pippa.

In reality, the hippo part is a problem. Hypothetically, though, I'm into it.

Respectfully, I have never liked the name Hippolyta. I just think of a hippo.

I love Hippolyta, it's so stately. I see it more as a middle name but I like your idea for a nickname, makes it easier to bear.

I really like Hippolyta, and I say hip-OL-it-uh (ol rhyming with doll). It's strong, and super cool imo, and I love Lyta (although more as Leeta). However, I'm not too sure about that 'hippo' sound. It just feels so easily teasible. Maybe as a middle?
