A facebook friend (American) recently had a baby named Siersha which I assume is an Anglicized version of Saoirse, I think Saoirse looks a lot better though. I actually think Saoirse would work in the US because people would have to ask how to say it instead of guessing, since it looks obviously hard to guess if you've never heard it out loud.

I think it’s a lovely name but in here is the USA most people wouldn’t pronounce it correctly.

I like the meaning, I like the spelling, I don’t like the pronounciation.

I like it a lot, one of my favorite Irish names in fact, but unfortunately as an American I can never use it because Americans are natoriously bad with Gaelic name pronunciations and they would never be able to get it right.
