Its a nice name. It seems unisex to me. The nickname can be Sonny or Sunny.
It does sound awfully corny, but I just love nature names. I prefer this to Evening, Night, Morning, Moon or Dawn. *shrug* To each their own.
Its a surname too. It would work as a middle name. Abigail Sunshine, or Jacob Sunshine...it does sound really surnamey though.
