Help[Opinions] Blair: girl or boy?
I like Blair for a girl. I know it’s “supposed” to be a boys name but I literally can’t picture it on a boy. In the UK it appears to be fully masculine. Thoughts?

I'm from the UK and I don't really like the way Blair looks on a boy. I think its pretty on a girl, not my favourite though.

In a US context, it reminds of Blair Witch Project and Gossip Girls; when I associate UK context, I immediately think of Tony Blair.
I used to group it in my head with Blaine.
It rhymes with Clair which is technically masculine but would be perceived as feminine by majority in the US.
It seems like Reagan. Is that still unisex in the US?

I don’t care for it for either but it seems more feminine to me. That’s probably because I’ve known a few girls named Blair but never a boy.

I’m not crazy about it for either gender but it seems to be inching towards the feminine.

It's a lnfn, and as such I'd expect it on a boy as a fn and, if at all, on a girl as a family mn.

Love it for both and would happily use it. But overall I think I prefer it for girls.

I know it's historically masculine and still unisex today, but I can only imagine Blair on a girl. I put this down to it's similarity to Claire.

As the most of English surnames I think that it's just unisex. Boy or girl is the same imo.

I'm in the US and I see it as fully masculine (or else as a surname). I've heard of it on a girl, but I've only seen it on boys in real life.
I think it sounds too discordant for a girl. It makes me think of a guy who is either really boring or creepy.

Girl middle name for me, I only know girls with the name Blair, never a boy but it feels incomplete as a first name

I really like it on girls. When I found out that it was unisex, I couldn't believe that only men had been given the name at some point in time. But yes, it rhymes with Clair. Just like that name it has become unisex, and depending on where you live, there will be particular popularity with a certain gender.
Blair is common for girls in the US, for the reason that Americans like French unisex names on women. You're not likely to see an American man named Clair or Renée. They sound girly to most Americans. I like it in both genders, but its kind of more on the girly side to me.
