Wdyt of the name Cloud? My coworker just gave her baby that name. Not a fan.

Oh I love it on guys! :D
On girls it gives more of a hippie vibe than I would like, but it's still okay.

I love this freaking name. Its perfectly unisex in a way, but it sounds more masculine in my book. I'm thinking of Claude and Clyde, probably.
Its a nature name. Those are my jam. I have no reason to not like this one, just because its more recent than many flower or tree names.
And then there's Cloud from Final Fantasy. I just think of a cool guy who knows what he's doing. It could also work for a girl, if Stormy and Rain can...then do as the Romans do. Name your children after interesting objects that benefit the planet Earth, then.

It's not one of the good nature names. Even though clouds can be as beautiful as the sky or a willow or a star, they're mostly associated with rain and sadness; people are under a cloud, go around bringing their black cloud, their minds are clouded, etc.

I've read a story before with a character named Cloud in it.
It's a place name because it's a saint's name.
It reminds me of-
Claude, Claudia, Clodagh, Nephele, Rainbow, Misty
It also reminds me of Google cloud and by extension, the borg.
It's floaty, dynamic, elusive, and interdependent.
I think I like it most when I substitute it in combos I'd use Claude in. They *almost* sound the same but are way less stuffy.
Like: Cloud Sinclair / Leandre Cloud
Or, something like Cloud Nerissa / Nerys Cloud / Cloud Aludra would be kinda pretty. Or Cloud Mavis, Cloud Meital, Cloud Trishna, Cloud Maya, Cloud Veda, Cloud Mehrnaz are kinda fun...
