Arlo - I don't like this much. It seems a little pretentious and the only Arlo I met was an incredibly spoiled and unpleasant little boy, which is a shame as at one point I did like it.Ambrose - It doesn't feel like a name, and reminds me of custard.

I love Ambrose, but I am not sure if I would actually use it. Arlo just sounds like a dog name to me.

Ambrose suggests a Conservative MP in one of Queen Victoria's parliaments. Or a minor character in PG Wodehouse. Arlo seems all American to me, probaly because my only association is with Arlo Guthrie. I don't mind them in those contexts, but I'd never think of using either one.

I love Ambrose it has a nice old school charm to it, not as into Arlo it doesn't necessarily feel as complete to me.
