[Opinions] Leah
WDYT of Leah?
Replies
I don't think it's overused. I've only ever known one Leah.
Its a pretty name, but also very very popular. This my (second) favorite spelling, although it doesn't really make sense. I'd go with Lea: less complicated. Other forms of the name are pretty as well. And names containing the same sound, despite not being related to it, such as Leanna.

To me Lea is prounced the same as Lee
I like it. Very pleasant.
I like it. It's pretty but simple and practical, and I think it's friendly and a little earthy.
I also like Lea and Leia, but I think Lea looks less complete (the h seems to make Leah more confident or something?) and Leia is a whole different feeling (a bit more magical and not earthy at all).

Leah is a really pretty name!
The Leah of the Bible was supposed to have been homey & plain- looking in comparison to her more beautiful & desirable sister Rachel. I mean if it was me I'd have hated the association while I was growing up in christianity. I never understood why people of that faith would want to name their daughters after this particular character. In addition to this, I have never met a pleasant Leah, of the 4 or so I've known in my life thus far, that included 1 that was a childhood bully. Another is an 11 year old who is the bratiest of all the neighborhood children in my area and is always causing trouble. It's very tainted in my mind, in the completely untouchable and undesirable category.
