[Opinions] How to pronounce “Trethewey”
I’m not sure this is the right board so maybe the mods will move it. This is a street name near my house, and I assume it’s based on the surname of whoever built it/lived there/was having their 15 minutes of fame at the time. But nobody in the area seems to know how to pronounce it. I googled pronunciation guides but it was unhelpful. Have you ever known someone with this surname? If so, how did they pronounce it?If you don’t know anybody, what’s your best guess? I’ve been going with “TREE-thuh-wee” but I’m probably way off.

It looks Cornish. If it is, it would be pronounced treh-THOO-wee.
