[Opinions] Teague

Outside of Ireland and maybe Scotland, I feel like a good many people would have issues with Tadhg. Teague is pretty recognizable to most English speakers.
I prefer Tadhg
It sounds like a jock name to me. Not the dumb bully jock stereotype, but more like the popular, moderately smart guy who seems nice but is problematic because he’ll definitely look the other way while his friends do awful things.
I like Tadhg (TIEG); I don't feel like it's difficult to say, and I don't know that there wouldn't be spelling issues with Teague, so I'd just go ahead and use my favorite. I've never cared when people misspell my name, anyway.
Teague (TEEG) is also likable, although it vaguely reminds me of pirates? I guess because of the islands RoxStar mentioned, and it rhymes with league...

I’m not familiar with the islands, but pirates are a fun association :)
I don’t think it’s difficult to say, but I don’t think it’s very intuitive from the spelling for English-speakers, but Teague is a little more so. I think spelling your name is less annoying than having to correct mispronunciations (I have to do both with my first name and surname).
Unpleasant sound. I'm not sure how many people would pronounce/spell it right. Around here it's not an issue because Chincoteague and Assateague are not far away.
