[Opinions] Melba Toast
What do you think of Melba? I know Nellie Melba derived it from Melbourne, but I think it's kind of cute. Thanks! :)

Melba is a name I think I should like but I don’t.

I like it! But I'm kind of bias cause my mother's name was Melva and Melba Toast always makes me think of her. But I can see it as a MN. Not so sure if I would use it as a first name though.

I've never heard of "melba toast", I have heard of "peach melbas" a quick Google search seems to indicate they are both named after Nellie Melba. I like it, the first time I heard it was in The Expanse series where one of the characters uses it as a alias.

I like it. I think it is kind of indie/old/new sounding like Alba or Elva or Zelda but sweeter.I've asked about it before, and everyone mentioned the toast, which I'd never heard of.

I know a Melba who was named after the Australian soprano. I don't immediately think of the dessert. There are better names out there, but Melba gives me a positive, cozy imagery. :)

Cozy is the vibe I get from it too :) Like Mabel!

I think it's terrible.

I'm totally with Fiammetta: it sounds fine on a menu - in two places on a menu, in fact - but not on a human.

I can’t get past if being a kind of dessert.

Totally understandable!
